Made In The USA

Posted on Friday, July 1st, 2011

As we approach July 4th, many of us will take a few moments to reflect on what it means to be an American.  Being an American can mean different things to different people, but one sentiment rings true to all ears, we are a free people. Yes, recently, times have been tough, but it isn’t a first for the United States. As a country, we’ve faced a multitude of adversity throughout history. Through hard work and perseverance, we have always achieved success.

One of the biggest opportunities and challenges to have faced our country has been globalization. It’s generated great wealth and provided new opportunities for businesses and consumers, but it’s adversely effected American labor. We can all sit and point fingers at who is to blame, but the fact of the matter is we live better more expensive lives than laborers in other countries. Whenever we can, we should be buying American goods to show our support for an American lifestyle. American manufacturers and laborers produce some of the most skilled, highest quality goods money can buy. Their work deserves acknowledgement and respect. Buying American goods is one of the best ways to support our nations laborers and their efforts.

At Dixie, whenever we can buy an American product, like our acrylic tubs, we will vote with our money. It is through our freedom and ideals that we have the choice between goods from every corner of the world. We choose to exercise that freedom by providing goods and services to Americans that are created and installed by Americans.
